Frequently asked questions
🌟 Local Tips from Billy
-
Never trust the weather forecast – it will change five times before lunch.
-
Umbrellas don’t work in Bergen. The wind will flip it inside out in 3 seconds flat. Go for a rain jacket instead.
-
Coffee is life here. If you get cold or wet (and you will), just duck into a café – there’s always one nearby.
-
Say “takk” (thank you). Simple, but it makes you sound like a local.
-
Take the side streets. The narrow cobblestone lanes and wooden houses are more fun than the main tourist streets.
-
Don’t rush. Bergen is a city best enjoyed slowly, with time to notice the mountains, the sea, and maybe a seagull stealing your lunch.
-
Bring good shoes. Between rain, cobblestones, and hills, you’ll thank me later.
Most importantly, enjoy your time in Bergen.
