Bergen Light Rail – Service Changes: July 28th to August 3rd
Planning to use the Bergen Light Rail during your stay or commute? Here's what you need to know:
Due to construction, Lars Hilles gate will be closed between July 28th and August 3rd, and this will impact Line 1 of the Bybanen.
Just remember getting to the Airport from the city and to the city from the Airport is not afffected, it will just skip the usual a few stops before it gets to the city, or when it leaves the city.
If you are going to the Airport just get it as normal. The same as going to the city from the Airport
The city is the first and last stop and the Aiprort is also the first and last stop. These are NOT affected by the closures below.
🚈 Line 1 (Bergen Airport – City Centre)Some stops will be skipped during this period. Trains on Line 1 will NOT stop at:
Bergen busstasjon A & B
Nygård
Florida
Danmarks plass
Kronstad A & B
📍 Temporary route adjustments:
From Bergen Airport: Normal route until Brann Stadion. Then the tram will detour via Kronstad E → Haukeland sjukehus → Fløen → Bergen busstasjon D → Nonneseter → Byparken.
From the City Centre: Starts at Byparken, then continues via Nonneseter → Bergen busstasjon C → Fløen → Haukeland sjukehus → Kronstad F, before resuming the normal route from Brann Stadion onwards.
🚈 Line 2 is running as normal, with no changes to its service.
🕓 Travel Tip: If you’re heading to the airport or catching the tram in the city, allow a few extra minutes and check the stop signs to make sure you're on the correct platform.
Let me know if you'd like this translated to Norwegian or used in a social media post too!
