Ive visited many cafes recently to do a few reviews. Some are great some not so great and some are just average. Nothing wrong with being average of course but Dromedar really stood out for me.
It's a busy little place with space for maybe 40 people. Its laid out quit well and with the 4 very big windows, it feels light and airy and fresh. Even in the dark wet rainy days it feels bright and open. The windows are also very clean, there must be a good window cleaner in Bergen Centre.
The lady working there was very smiley and happy, even at 8.30 in the morning. she seemed to really like her job and was friendly and outgoing. Her English was perfect.
She took my order and told me to take a seat and she would bring it over when ready.

After a very short time, she came over with my drink and was also very pleasant and friendly.
I had a cappuccino accompanied by a chocolate croissant. I was a little concerned that the croissant might be hard as it was sitting with the others on the counter, but i was pleasantly surprised at the crisp exterior and the soft, chocolate filled, fluffy textured inside.
The croissant was excellent, as was the cappuccino. the atmosphere was very relaxed with some relaxed music playing feintly in the background.
There are seats outside in the summer months, and the area that it is in, tends to get quite busy with locals.
The customers all seemed very friendly too. I was in here for over an hour doing some work stuff and noticed the constant flow of people coming and going.
There is a Starbucks right next to this cafe but it doesnt seem to deter people from coming here. i guess the freindly vibrant cafe is extremely appealing instead of a corporate, all looking the same, kind of cafe that starbucks tends to be.
Its also one of the only cafes in Bergen that has a strict no smoking policy on the seating outside.
As for the prices, the cappucino and coffee came to a total of = 94Kr, around £6.70 -€8 - $8.50.
Not a bad price for it being just of the main Torgellmenningen square, just up from the Blue Stone.
I'd 100% recommend this place, especially if you're going in and out of Jekteviksbakken terminal as you can pass this on the way in to Bergen, or back out to the cruise terminal. See the map below.
A vert very pleasant place to have a quick pitstop. .
